Squirrel Hunting

Grandma and Grandpa Weikum came to see us a couple of weeks ago. We had such a fun time with them. Grandpa took Lucas and Micah to the park while Grandma and I went birthday shopping for Lucas.

The Hunters.

The scared squirrel.

I am really impressed with my Dad that he is willing and wants to spend time with his grandkids. Great memories were made including Squirrel Hunting. Lucas and Micah ran the entire park searching for squirrels while Grandpa video taped it. The squirrels were running and climbing up the trees quickly.:)

On Saturday we all went to Universal Studios. Jon had not been in 23 years so it was new to him. It was fun but exhausting. We figured out that this park is not really for young kids. But the Mummy ride and Jurassic Park ride were a lot of fun for us adults.

Jon and I on the Jurassic Park ride. We are in the back on the right side.

Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa is always video taping. Even on amusement park rides!

Lucas was not in the mood to take pictures.

I love this picture. Grandpa calling Micah over. I love how Grandpa and Lucas look so happy and smiley.

Lucas and Micah love their Grandpa and Grandma.

After Universal Studios we came home and had a little family birthday party for Lucas. He is now the big 5-year-old!
On Monday, we went to another park close to our apartment. (Lucas and Micah love playing at the playgrounds) Then we went over to the grass and they rolled down the hills. Lucas loves to run down the hills more. He is super speedy. I think he'll start soccer in the fall.

Lucas running.

We were so glad to have Grandma and Grandpa come see us. Good Memories were made by all, and my kids will always remember them.

What a wonderful time for the children and tne grandparents -- as well as you parents! Your mother looks so happy and beautiful and young in this picture, Deanna. I'm glad that someone is defying the march of time!

We love your great writing along with the sense of humor and joy you both bring to the pictures and events you share of your delightful family.

Thank you for all you do for them. You will never be sorry for the time and effort you are giving.

Love,
Sheila/Mother
