Since we live in California we figured we should prepare our 72 hour kit. As long as it's just us and our kids this should be sufficient.
I would like to thank Albertsons home delivery service. This would not have been possible if it was not for them and their dolly. Seriously, the guy called me before the delivery to make sure this was a residence and not a convenience store.
So YOU are the one responsible for the sudden hike in the price of Diet Coke...Weren't you told not to hoard?? I also noticed there was no rice in the pile, I guess that is not a staple of life...
First off, I only drink Diet Coke and Caff free diet coke. I use to drink (when I'm pregnant and not caring about my weight) the real stuff, straight up coke or pepsi (mostly caff free). There are days that I enjoy the "good" stuff. The days when my kids are driving me nuts, my husband is gone all the time, and I know that the place has really good fountain drink of pepsi or coke. Then I will consume of the goodness. hehe.
After a nightmare of a grocery store visit with all three kids way back in January I started using Albertsons online service. They deliver and the first two times were free. This last time was only $5 b/c I had a coupon. I order lots of stuff like RICE (the only thing my kids eat), vegetables, pasta, and anything else you can think of. The prices are about the same and they deliver to my front door! Totally worth every penny of the delivery price. It is such a pain to unload everything into the stroller, carry David in the carseat, hope Micah is willing to walk and hope Lucas is not is some emotional turmoil, and take it all the way to the elevator and then to our apartment. Not fun. That is where Albertsons comes in handy especially with the pop and water. I only do this once a month so I stock up on lots of stuff so I don't have to buy any at the store.
Oh, how I do love my soda! I could write a whole post about the different tastes and ways to drink soda. I am a soda snob. Maybe another day I will explain.
Oh, and Maria, you come from the cheapest place to buy fountain drinks...52 cents? Oh, how jealous I am:)
This is funny...:-) I think we will probably go to the reunion Friday night...for the dinner. I will be about 5 months pregnant. Yes, that's an announcement. We are thinking we will stop in though...we'll see. You guys don't know if you can make it?
So I am in week nine...just starting out. I'm pretty sick and tired but I keep telling myself it will pass. :-) We are very excited to get another little sweetie in our home. I hope to see you this summer.
Actually, I just filled up my 44 oz. this morning for 50 cents. I can refill my 32 oz for 35 cents (and that is an increase from the usual 25 cents.)
I remember schelpping multiple kids the the grocery store. It was a nightmare. I took all 4 of them to Albertsons a couple of weeks ago and thought I would rather kill myself than go through that again.
That is awesome. We are the Emergency Preparedness Coordinators in our ward so food storage is always on our minds. We just participated in a Stake EP Fair last Saturday--I wish I would have had this picture to show off. It's important to have all the essentials. :) I would love to hear about all the different ways to drink soda sometime. :)
LOL...I'll drink about a 1/4 of my diet dr pepper (one will last me all week) it's such a shock to my body I have to visit the little girls room about every 30 minutes. Then, I get REALLY happy (as well as jittery)...it's a peppy drug that caffeine. Seems I a can think 'quicker' with it. If only I could get it to wear off at night. Nice that it balances out the water.
What a crack up. Looks like my in-laws house when family visits, with about 2-3 more purchases of the same amount. I usually only have it with a meal, eating out. On a scary side note (not to be labeled as a weirdo) but pop rids your blood of oxygen. As a runner does it ever bother you, drinking pop? BY the way like I said I DO drink it too.

Year's supply?? At best, that is a week's supply for me.
