My Daily Day

David jumping on July 4th taken at Aunt Maria's house in Idaho.

I'm awake from 4:30-6 a.m. My stomach was growing. Literally. I felt the ligaments stretching and it was very uncomfortable.

I fall back to sleep at 6 a.m. I wake-up at 8. Starving. I go make myself breakfast.

I make Lucas and David breakfast. Micah is still asleep.

I check email and bank accounts. Decide to budget the money. I hate budgeting the money:)

Micah is awake. Make him breakfast.

Clean off counters and table.

Brush teeth. Get dressed.

Feed dog and give him fresh water.

Put laundry in. I drop the brand new bottle of liquid fabric softener and it cracks. I clean that up. Luckily have the old bottle to pour the remaining new bottle into.

I pick-up dog poop.

I sweep up the patio since the dog and his doggy friend dug up dirt and it was all over the place.

I change David's diaper and clothes. Tell Luke and Micah to get dressed for the day.

Go to Sport Authority (with all 3 kids) to return soccer cleats (found better ones at Target), and a backpack that Lucas did not like. Buy water bottles for their lunch and soccer practices.

Go to grocery store. (you would think shopping with older kids, 7 and 5, would be easier. it's not. they just play army or bad guy/good guy shooting each other, running up and down the aisles, wrestling each other and completely acting like they've never been in public. i was just making threats and losing my mind. we were out of milk, bread, and fruit. thankfully it was a short 20 minute experience).

Get home. Get a call from a friend to see if she could drop off her son for a play date with Micah.

Clean quickly.
Vacuum.
Clean bathroom.

Make lunch. Kids eat.

Friend gets here. She asks why I haven't put David down for nap. I tell her I haven't had time. She gives me a funny look. She doesn't understand that having an 8 year old and 5 year old is much different then having a 7,5, and 2 year old. Also, having a maid makes a huge difference in life. Anyway.

Kids play. I change laundry.

I give dog clean water outside.

I get David ready for nap - diaper change and so on.

Put David to sleep. He's not really wanting to sleep since there was a friend to play with. I lie down with him for about 20 minutes. He finally falls to sleep.

Micah and friend enjoy their playtime. Lucas goes to neighbors.

I sort through back to school clothes that I need to return to Target. Sizes don't fit and so on.

Play date is short. Boy leaves. David wakes up. Lucas comes home.

Time to get ready for Luke's first soccer practice.

Sister calls. I have less than 5 minutes to talk to her before I have to get into the van to hurry to soccer practice so Luke is not late. Glad to talk to her even though it was a short chat.

Get to soccer practice. Run Luke out to the field to meet coach. Run (i did run and it did hurt:) ) back to van get Micah and David dressed for cold weather (pants and jackets). Change David's
diaper.

While Lucas plays soccer Micah begins to collect sticks. David begins to try to climb fence. I play zone defense and try to watch all 3 kids at the same time.

Go to Target after practice b/c a friend (same friend from the afternoon) told me that the Britax car seat was on sale at Target. David needs a new car seat. The seat he currently uses is from when Lucas was 1 year of age. Obviously it's past the 5 year expiration date.

Get to Target. Friend did not disclose to me that this seat is pink. That the seat really is small even for David and he is small as you all know. Ended up just buying velcro so I can velcro the freezer door shut so David doesn't get into it.

Go home. (I won't talk about the way my kids acted in Target or the discipline, lectures and so on after that experience.)

Jon is home.
Eat dinner.
Luke shower.
Jon begins to work from home.
P.J. time for all kids.
Book time.
Floss kids' teeth.
They brush teeth, go pee and get in bed.
Pray. Sing. and now I blog.

I'm tired. As you can tell if I don't call you or answer your phone calls or email you or text you it's just cause I haven't found a spare minute to do so. If I do have a spare minute usually I'm peeing or hopefully showering. That happens ever so often:) Don't take offense and don't think I don't care. It's just crazy around here. And I love it. No, really. I really do love it. Maybe not every moment, like when David throws his cereal bowl all over the floor. Thankfully we have a dog. Of course when the dog is locked in the front room b/c the 2 year old locks him in, the dog really doesn't clean up after the 2 year old. Not until I figured out where the dog went. Oh, and I really don't like picking up dog poop. But what can I say. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

Tomorrow I hope to have a shower. I hope you do too cause I know that you and you and you and even you are just as busy as I am. :)

So, our Babies R Us is having a special where if you bring in your old expired car seat/stroller/highchair they give you a 25% off coupon for a new one, including the Britax brand. Maybe they have a similar promotion in LA? We plan on bringing doing a few swaps since our carseats are all old and nasty and expired, too. :)

Busy, exhausting, wonderful. That's my day, as well. And now that I've read this, I do believe I will place my son in front of the TV and steal a moment away to shower! I love that you are back blogging.
