Yesterday was Jon's Birthday. Sunday Birthdays are hard to celebrate especially when church is in the middle of the day. Then I had church meetings after that. Top that off with him having a headache with no Ibprofen in the house. I think his actual birthday was kind of a let down for him. Sorry Jon. I'll try to make it up to you this coming weekend.
But he was able to take Friday off work and take Lucas and Micah camping. He found a campsite on the beach that is about an hour away. All three of them had lots of fun and enjoyed hiking, playing on the beach, the campfire and making smores. Plus being able to play Battleship and Chess in the tent at night before bed. I think they will be camping more this summer since it's such a great bonding experience. David and I stayed home. I forgot what it's like to have only one kid. I had to entertain him which was fun cause he is super hilarious at this age. But, the house was quiet which I'm not use to.
Jon and the boys arrived home Saturday afternoon. His brother and wife along with their 5 children came over in the late afternoon. They came down from Bakersfield to attend the Temple and then hang out with us. We had a nice visit with them and were glad to catch up on life.
That pretty much sums up our weekend. I'm looking forward to Memorial Day weekend although we have no plans as of now. Hopefully, Jon won't have to work much if at all. That'd be nice.
