I really need to post something new. It is 5:35 Friday evening and all I can think about is when is Jon getting home. I'm just bored so he needs to come home and entertain me. You probably wonder how I can be bored with 3 kids. It's easy. Send one to the neighbors. Give the other one Spiderman action figures and he plays in la la land for hours. And the other one give him a ds and he becomes DS head. This leaves me to not wanting to post but being tired of looking at the same post on my blog. So that is that.
Phin (our dog) lost his manhood. He has the cone of shame. Very annoying but we are almost done with it. Sunday it should be coming off. Glad that that is done.
Lucas turns 7 on Monday. 7. Can you believe it?!! Where does time go? Jon and I are being crazy and driving 6 kids to the Medieval Times Dinner and show tomorrow night. I don't know what we were thinking. It should be fun but I just hope I can handle 6 kids. At least they are older so it shouldn't be too bad. Right? We'll take pictures and post them. After that we come home and have a sleep over. It's gonna be awesome! I'm glad Jon is Jon and has lots of energy. I'm glad he is good with kids. He's a keeper.
Everyone needs a haircut in the family. Including me. Which costs so darn much. I need to get the clippers out and just trim up Micah's hair and David's. I like Micah with longer hair. He is adorable. And David is just a character. When he gets his haircut he ages and I don't like it so I like keeping it crazy.
Well, I don't know what else to say. I finally read "The Host." It was good. Not incredible but good. For about a week my dreams were filled with lots of Aliens and people being overtaken by other people. Disturbing I know.
I remember. I had a classic hilarious moment as a mother. Some of you might find this funny and some of you probably not so much, but I couldn't stop laughing. Lucas was doing his homework at the table. I was sitting behind him at the computer. His friend was playing nerf basketball waiting for Lucas to finish. The homework was a worksheet about Consonants. There were 12 boxes and in each box was written a word. Lucas was to draw the word. For example: Swing (draw a swing), Thorn, Bathtub. The last one he turns to me and asks "Mom, what is a Chest?" These were my thoughts in my head "I can't believe they want him to draw a chest? Definitely not a female chest. I guess a male chest, but even that doesn't seem appropriate for 1st grade." I just looked at him perplexed. I say to him "Your chest. 2 arms and body." He's like ok. Then thankfully his friend says "Or it could be a treasure chest." That is when I lost it. I couldn't stop laughing and they look at me like I was a crazy lady, which I am. It was hilarious. I am still laughing. My mind was in the gutter. For sure not a female chest. That would be disturbing.
Happy Friday!

When I read "draw a chest", I was thinking the same thing! I guess that's why I like you so much:)
PS-I can't believe Lucas will be 7!! Crazy!!! Tonight my kids were wearing pirate hats from his 4th(?) birthday party. Have fun at Medival times-it rocks! Happy Birthday, Lucas!
I always hate to cut my boy's hair because of the aging effect, too. I love reading your funny thoughts.
Thanks for the post. I'm still laughing. Chest?
Ahhh - I love your train of thought! "Draw a chest." Good thing kids are still innocent!
