random photo. I love this picture of Lucas. Age 2. Central Park. I can't believe how fast children grow. so. what have i been doing? to not be be bloggin' everyday? you know. the usual. kids, dog, clean, shop, play, and exercise and clean some more. life...ya gotta love it.
my real excuse is that jon is always on the computer at night making it difficult to blog. this is why i'm asking Santa for a small little laptop that i can use sitting on the couch watching t.v. and blogging so that my readers don't miss out on my incredibly interesting day as a wife and mother.
yes, i know you want me to get this computer just so i can stay in your lives on a daily basis. you've missed me this passed week. hahaha. just so you know i probably wouldn't blog everyday even if i had a laptop since i'm tired/lazy at night. :)
everyday this week i have thought of things that i am grateful for. i'm not so good at writing them down because usually i'm driving when i'm thinking of my blessings.
NUMBER ONE - being able to walk Lucas to school. so much better then driving.
2. my neighbor who has walked Lucas home from school the last two days (her kids go to the same school) because david has been napping. she's a life saver.
3. my heart. it keeps me ticking. even though at times it beats literally a mile a minute. I have palpitations and regurgitation in my left ventricle the doctors tell me. But, it is structurally sound - healthy heart. i think i have anxiety do to the genetics that have been passed down from my mother and her mother:)
4. my lungs. i am always amazed at how well my lungs keep me going while i'm running.
5. RUNNING. i have this love hate relationship with running. most people do. once i start i love it. getting me to begin the workout is the problem. just DO it!
6. The Book of Mormon. It is AMAZING. All life's questions and concerns are answered in this book. I strongly suggest you read it!
This is one my favorite pics of Jon and I. Taken at the Oregon Coast 2002 on a family vacation with my parents. Don't we look like we're 14? We've labeled it "Teenagers in Love"
This is one my favorite pics of Jon and I. Taken at the Oregon Coast 2002 on a family vacation with my parents. Don't we look like we're 14? We've labeled it "Teenagers in Love"7. Family Wrestle/tickle time with the boys and with Jon. I know many moms don't wrestle with their kids but I love it. It is so fun to make them laugh. It's quite funny to hear Jon laugh too when we tackle him. Family wrestle time - I highly recommend it. I just reread the first sentence. I thought about rewriting it but then realized that you all know that I'm grateful for wrestle/tickle time with Jon - that's why we have 3 kids:)
8. The Oregon Coast. Growing up it was tradition to go to the Oregon Coast at least once a year. I have many fun family memories from the Oregon Coast. Also, Jon and I spent our honeymoon there. We also have gone with my family since we've been married. If you have never been there I highly recommend it. It is so peaceful, beautiful, the sunsets are amazing and the people are incredibly nice. Love it and miss it. Sometimes I even am homesick for this place.
9. Running water. Can't imagine life without toilets, sinks, showers, sprinklers, drinking water, so many ways running water blesses my life. I don't know how my mom and her parents lived without running water when they built their house and farm back in the 50's. They were pioneers in my eyes:)
10. Books. I love knowing when I don't know how to do something like raise a child, or train a dog I can rely on books to teach me. I also love reading books for fun like the twilight series or all the chick flick books.
I know I am far behind but I'm not going to catch up. This is already a long post. Happy Friday! Enjoy the Weekend.

Lovin' the post and older pics-you guys seriously do look like you're 14!!! So now you look like you're, ya know, 16:) Well, hopefully 18, considering your #7;)
Yes, that is the same yellow shirt as the previously posted Oregon coast picture from 2004.
Ahhh - the nostalgia of the clothes. How do you wash your clothes to keep them in such good condition for so long? Love you guys!
we don't sort. ultra-large loads. wash everything on warm/cold. leave in dryer for over a day. this is what perfects the longevity of clothes. plus, only buy $10 or less items of clothing.
You guys do look 14! Thanks for making me laugh today :) Does Jon still have that shirt?
