We took a trip to D Land. Disneyland that is. Our tradition is going on one nuclear family vacation each year. We usually go to the beach, but this year decided to travel an hour to Disneyland and check-in to the resort. You might be thinking why we just didn't travel back and forth each day? That is a good question, but our answer is because we wanted to get the full experience of Disneyland without the traveling. Traveling back and forth is very tiring and not relaxing. Relaxing is always one of our goals on vacations.
It was fun to see Lucas and Micah try new rides and build up the courage to try the big rides. Both Lucas and Micah's favorite ride now is the Matterhorn Bobsleds. They call it the Snow Monster ride. They also love Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Micah also loves Buzz Light Year while Lucas loves the Star Wars ride. I did get Lucas to go on Space Mountain. He was NOT a fan, but he was a trooper. He didn't cry or get scared. But afterwards he had the look of shock on his face. He told me it was "too fast and too loud for him." I don't blame him. I'm just glad he decided to try it. It builds character. Well, maybe:) Their other favorite ride is the Toon Town Roller Coaster. I'm glad my boys enjoy roller coasters because they are my favorite.
The trip was AWESOME as Lucas says. We all think so too.

That is so cool that you stayed at Disneyland. We LOVE disney! Glad you guys had a good time.
I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. I don't have a lot of constants in my life (the polar star, a craving for KFC every eighteen months, etc.), but I thought I could ALWAYS count on you guys to go to the beach every year.
So, now that you are likely the one of the most experienced Disney visitors...any tips? I love the pics I can almost hear the laughter.
You guys look like you are doing an ad for Disney Land-the classic happy smiling family. You guys are such a fun family. You're kids are lucky to have such cool parents:)-but you're planning on hitting up the beach with us next year though, right?
I can't wait to squeeze those boys in July! We can build sand castles, dig holes, play in the surf....I can't wait! So much fun, we have to show your boys all the fun things we did on the beach. Dad was talking about going to the aquarium in Newport too, I think all the kids will love that. I am hoping I can come out to LA for a weekend in June or maybe October (that is my next free month). Let me know when the black out dates are for disneyland.
LUCKY!!! Still never been to Disneyland... from the pictures it definitely lives up to it's name... "The Happiest Place on Earth":) Maybe one day we'll have to come with you guys:) That would be a party!!!!
