There is silence in the house. All three kids are sleeping and the hubby is still at work. I don't remember it being so quiet in the house for a very long time. I like it.It was a good day. Lucas went to school and had a field trip to the Fire Station. Although he has been to the fire station in New York he was still incredibly excited for such an adventure. He even got to ride in a school bus to get there.
After school one of the mothers told me how nice the firemen were to the kids and just how great they are. In the back of my mind I couldn't help but laugh at how firemen are able to make women swoon. Honestly, I have not encountered any firemen here, but in New York it seemed like they were always around. And according to my family members (I won't name names) New York firemen are the "hottest" they've ever seen. This reminds me of when Lucas and I went to the fire station in Harlem for his preschool field trip. It was a great experience for all the little kids. They were able to try on the boots and coats and even sit in the fire truck drivers seat. Very cool stuff. One husband came along with his wife and son. I remember making some comment to him that I should have invited my husband. He made some sarcastic joke about how he had to go to make sure his wife wouldn't start drooling over the firemen. Of course he was kidding and we all got a good laugh out of it. I didn't see any of us moms drooling that day but I do remember some comments that were made after that experience. And they were good ones.
Disclaimer: I love my husband and I think he is the "Hottest" Lawyer and person I know. Just because other women swoon over firemen does not mean I do...or at least I will never admit:)
Disclaimer #2: At the beginning of this post I had no intention of writing about Firemen. I guess this is where my mind ended up. Jon better not work too many late nights or I might have to start a fire...

You are so funny! I enjoyed reading this blog:) Shhhh....I swoon over firemen too:)
(My hubby is a hottie too:)
That is pretty hilarious. I think it is funny, because the firemen know it, too. When they drive by(which seems like every second, here in NY), they are so cocky and know that the women swoon and the kids adore them as they wave at them. But I say, hey, they are oncall to go into burning buildings 24-7, so I guess they have "earned" it? Anyway, pretty hilarious post:)
PS-we have borrowed the first season of "the office"-just thought you'd be proud:)
you CRACK me up!!!!!
