After much procrastination I finally am starting a blog. I have been meaning to start this two months ago, but have not found the time nor the energy to start. Much has happened in our lives in the last couple of months.
Jon took the bar at the end of July. We drove from the Tri-Cities to Idaho Falls to see Jon's family the first week of August. Got back from that and Grandpa, Jon and Lucas went camping up near Seattle and then went to a Mariners baseball game for the weekend. Then Jon and I left the kids with Grandma and Grandpa and went to L.A. to move into our apartment and get a little settled before we all moved down at the end of August. Jon drove our car to L.A. and I flew down with the kids two days later.
That leads us up to Labor Day weekend and we spent the day on the beach with Jon's brothers and their families. Jon started work the day after Labor Day and then on that Friday we all flew up to Napa Valley (wine country) for the firm retreat. On Sunday we flew back to L.A. and on Monday Lucas started Pre-K and Jon went back to work.
The following Sunday Jon left to New York for training for the week. All I can say about that week was it was a very long week. I have been left with the kids many times by myself but with all the transitions and change in our lives I think it caught up to us in that week. Plus Micah is getting his 2 year molars, which makes him a little crabby. Jon got back late Friday night and Saturday, which was yesterday, we babysat Jon's brothers' 4 kids. Lucas was not that happy that he had to share his Dad with other kids which we did not really figure out until late last night after everyone went home and Jon and I were quite disturbed at how angry Lucas was all day. The day ended when we told Lucas he had to go pee in the potty before bed and he went into the bathroom and came out and told us that he went pee in the garbage can. I think that pretty much topped off the day as well as the week. Needless to say he went immediately to bed.
This morning he started to be angry but as soon as Jon told him that today was a day for them to hang out and play together Lucas's attitude completely changed and he was the little angel that he normally is. I guess we learned our lesson. Lucas needs his Dad!! At least one day a week he needs him. Honestly, while Jon was gone this past week both Lucas and Micah were both great obedient kids.
I think our chaotic lives have finally caught up to us and to our children. Luckily, we have no trips or big changes in store for us until New Years when our next baby will come. Well, this post pretty much catches everyone up on our lives at least for now. I mean there are many other stories and thoughts that I can write about and probably will, but for now that is all.

Hey Guys! I love the blogging world. It's so nice to have more friends joining it.
Stop by and see us too!
Oh my goodness! Lucas is SO BIG!
Welcome to the blogging world!
Hey Olsens,
We will miss watching the presidential debates at your house this year :) Perhaps Lucas picked up peeing in garbage cans from his New York upbringing?
Hey Olsens- so glad you started a blog and that L.A. is being good to you, so far. I had no idea you guys were expecting. Congratulations! I know what you mean about angry preschoolers and transitions. Livy's had her share of meltdowns since moving to Las Vegas, and keeps on asking to go back to New York.
Good luck with everything and if you ever have a hankerin' to come play the slots in Vegas, give us a call. :)
Erin
P.S. I have a blog for the kids too, that you're welcome to check out at http://msolivia.blogspot.com
