September Pictures

We finally are able to download our recent pictures to the computer. Jon's Dell laptop ran out of space for us to download pictures. Our external hard drive that was stolen from our latest car break-in finally was returned to us via Stockton California detectives. It's a long story, but the point is now there is more space on our laptop. Although, I should be honest and say we did end up buying a desktop computer yesterday. Nothing fancy but it has lots of memory compared to the laptop.

Yes, we have had our Ford Fusion broken into twice now in the last 8 months. I guess the drug users really love our car:) While Jon was driving to California for our move down here he spent the night in Stockton California. When he awoke the next morning the back window was broken and the only thing he could tell missing was our SLR camera. Our car was packed to the limit with stuff so he really didn't know if that was all that had been stolen. You might be thinking why would he park with a carload of valuable stuff overnight, but there was a security guard on duty and he did personally tell Jon that he would make sure our car was protected. However, he did forget to tell Jon that he gets off work at 6 a.m. Jon got to the car at 7:15 a.m. and was quite surprised to see broken glass and no security guard.

The end of the story is quite amusing. About 4 hours after Jon called the police he received a phone call from the dectective saying they had caught a man who was trying to return our external hard drive to Best Buy. Jon had packed the hard drive in it's orginal packaging with the receipt on top of it so the thief did not even open the box. He just went to Best Buy to return it and that is when he was arrested. We finally got the thing back a few days ago.
