Birthday Boy

We celebrated David's 4th Birthday twice this year. The first birthday was celebrated at the beginning of December. David is an amazing boy. Full of love and fire. He is the life of the party. He is tough, funny, happy, goofy, serious, smart, comprehends so much, athletic, and is stubborn.

He does not deal well with change. Because this last year was full of change he did not want to progress in some ways. He wanted to be a baby like his sister. He would steal her pacifier right out of her mouth and put it in his. And he refused to be potty trained. I tried and tried, and bribed and bribed. The thing is when a kid is stubborn and doesn't want to do something when it's completely in his control he won't do it whatever it might be. At the beginning of December after telling me over and over again that he is not a "big boy" I asked him "when do you become a big boy?" He told me "when I'm 4." Because I'm such a smart mom, hehe, the next day he had his birthday. And the next day after that he was potty trained. He officially turned 4 later in the month of December. I made the Spongebob cake since he loves him and the army cake was later. He loves army guys. He loves legos and cars too. He is all boy. He is my David and I love him to the moon and back plus more.
