An Update...

A little update from my home to yours...

- Jon worked 27 hours straight yesterday. Thankfully his deal signed. His deal made the front page of the WSJ yesterday. Cool. He really enjoys his work which I'm grateful for.

- He is taking the day off tomorrow. Disneyland or should we go to the farm to pick apples, pumpkins, etc.?

- He's been working an average 17 hours a day for the last month.

- I have been having to take the trash cans out to the street and back every week for the last month. Jon is doing it tonight. I just love him.

- Lucas and Micah are doing great in soccer. Lucas is a natural. Micah is the youngest player on his team since I lied about his age. He only missed the cut off by a month. Don't worry I told the league director and he was cool with it.

- Jon and I have a talk in church this Sunday. This is the first talk in this ward and the first talk I've had since I was pregnant with Lucas. I know how to fly under the radar:)

- My head has a lump on it from hitting the ceiling fan. You can't see it but I can feel it.

- Micah's favorite thing to say is "I forgot" after he is told to do something and he doesn't do it. "I forgot" translates more into "I didn't want to do what you told me, so I didn't." He's a clever kid.

- I am in charge of the gardening for Lucas' class. This means I plant the garden with the kids and teach them all about it. I also have lessons I am to teach them about plants and such. If you know anything about me, then you understand that I know nothing about gardening or growing stuff. The only reason I got stuck doing this is because no one would volunteer and I'm a sucker for helping out. Plus, I knew I could just google whatever I didn't know. It's nice to have google. Today when I went to put the AMEND in the plot I picked up the last bag and all these creepy crawly gross bugs came out. Another thing about me: I don't like creepy crawly things and I don't really like dirt! Gardening is cool! :)

- I have been trying to lose weight for the last 2 months. Not really working. I cant' seem to get past my plateau. I am losing inches just not seeing any results on the scale. I am getting into better shape where I can run faster and longer. So that is good.

- I look forward to watching t.v. every night. I call it my "Crap" t.v. I take pleasure in watching the CW teeny bopper shows. I just love 'em. I also love The Good Wife, Glee, Vampire Diaries, House Husbands of Hollywood (they're reruns but I dvr them), Desperate Housewives, Cougar Town (hilarious), The Office, although I think it's jumped the shark and most weeks I sit in frustration and awkwardness. I still haven't watched the wedding episode. I'm 4 episodes behind. I'm behind in a lot of my t.v. watching. The insanity of it ALL! My most ultimate favorite show is still Friday Night Lights. It is only on Direct T.V. which I don't have so I wait until it is on NBC in January. If you never watch this show you should netflix it. It's so good.

- I went to see Couples Retreat. It's funny and worth the watch. I bought my New Moon ticket. I bought two tickets so I can drag Jon along, or a friend if Jon has to "work" that night. I'm waiting until Friday night. I didn't want to lose any sleep watching the midnight showing.

I probably have more to say, but I need to stop neglecting my family so I gotta run.

First of all, you need to watch the Wedding episode of The Office. It is well worth it.
Next, yay on the New Moon ticket, I can't wait. Katie and I took the entire day off of work to watch the 10 am show because the midnight shows are all sold out here.
And lastly and you will hate me for this but Jeff has DirectTV and I have him hooked on FNL's now so he is going to DVR the new episodes for me. And NBC isn't airing new episodes of FNL in January....those are airing next JUNE. Sorry :(

Okay--so I LOVE thie post! Reality posts are way more fun to read--in comparison to the fluffy ones that completely mask the honest truth :-). It takes a lot more time to write them, too! You go girl! Have you ever looked into the t.v. series "LOST"? You said you like to read...have you read "The Hunger Games?" Anyway--it was fun getting to know you better :-). We need to get togther sometime. Julie
