Teaching Children

What's on your mind child of mine?

While driving around L.A. last week. Micah began telling me that Jesus made everything.
"He made that building. He made that street. He made that sign. He made that car."

Then he says. "Jesus has holes in his hands cause those bad men put him on those sticks."

I think Micah learns a lot during primary and FHE. Even if he doesn't act like it during the lessons. Most FHE's he's rolling around on the ground or jumping up and down constantly. I guess this just shows me to always teach no matter what is going on. Children pick up on things whether we know it or not.

BTW I did take the opportunity and tell him more about how Jesus has helped people make things like streets, signs, ect. Also, how Jesus died and was resurrected. He listened. Maybe we need to have FHE in the van where he is strapped into his seat more often. :)

That's so such a sweet story. And that's a great idea--FHE in the car, where they're used to being still.

They are so smart. They are like sponges. They are just always taking every thing in. Driving in the car is a very good place for the important talks. Captive audience, they can't get out. And even if they tune you out they will hear it anyway.
