I had a great 29th birthday. Waking-up Saturday morning I knew Jon was going to have to work pretty much all day. But, thankfully his "work stuff" had to be printed so he wasn't able to go into the office until mid-day. I took advantage of this and went to the mall and walked around. If you live in L.A. what else is there to do?
I found this cool calendar. Yep it's all about Coca Cola. I actually drink Diet now because I'm not in my early twenties anymore. Calories count now. I love my pop. The calendar was only $4. Can't beat that!
I also checked out my fabulous dream couch at RS store. The Lancaster leather couch that is 4 feet deep. It's like a bed but not really. Love it. It will be mine someday. I did find a couch for now that will be going into my living room in 1-2 weeks. Yes, currently my living room is a basketball gym or any other type of game room that a 5 and 3 year old can come up with. I will not tell you what couch I bought. I guess you'll have to come visit us to find out. hehe.
Back to my birthday. Lucas had a basketball game at 2:30. Jon went into the office at 1 and met us at the game. During the game he got a phone call from work telling him that he did not have to do the diligence for the 290 documents that he thought he still had to do. You can imagine he was jumping for joy on that one. After the game we picked up our fabulous 13 year old babysitter and Jon and I went to the Marina Del Rey Cheesecake Factory. We enjoyed dinner on the balcony overlooking the water. It was very relaxing and nice. We got home around 7:30ish. Put the kids to bed and then Jon went to work until midnight. You gotta love the Sabbath. It saves us every time.
We had cake and ice-cream with the boys on Sunday evening after FHE. We had no candles so we used a votive candle that I found. Lucas kept blowing the candle out. Later he told Jon that "It was kind of my birthday too because I kept blowing the candle out." What a kid!
Thank you everyone for calling, emailing, texting, commenting on the blog/facebook to wish me a happy birthday. It meant a lot to me. Next year we'll have to have a PARTY.

Now I really want to know what kind of couch you got! I guess I will have to keep looking at Delta's weekend fares to LA and come out soon for another visit ;)
Hope your day was fabulous... I too have furniture that will be in my home.. someday! Didn't we think that once law school was done and they had real jobs we could have real furniture? yeah, someday. happy belated!
Happy Birthday. I'm sorry I'm late. I too LOVE the RH sofa. Maybe one day. I hope you enjoy whatever sofa you did get.
Happy Birthday (to Lucas too!-what a crack-up)
Does only having one candle make you younger? I think so.
And if Lucas blows it out... then that means you don't get to age that year. I think I've started a new rule with that! Love you!
