And we Survived...

at least so far.

David is ONE! His birthday was right before Christmas. I always say the first year of having a baby is all about Survival. I don't set high expectations for me or for anyone in my family. I know some of you are shocked and some are not. But, seriously, when you have low expectations then it's really hard to be let down. Great philosophy I have. Overall we as a family accomplished much in David's first year of life. Now, if only I could remember it...j/k.

I often get asked what it's like having 3 kids. The answer is AWESOME and then TIRING. Awesome because of all the joy that comes from having family, and tiring b/c of sleep deprivation and b/c of all the dramas that children/people give us. But isn't life always both awesome and tiring whether or not you have 1, 2, or a gazillion kids? It's all about attitude and what you make of life.

We as a family have been blessed with the addition of little David. He is a joy to our hearts. His personality consists of a mix between Lucas and Micah. He is clingy and sensitive like Lucas, but is such a tease like Micah. He has his own individual characteristics apart from his brothers. He is constantly moving, has to be part of everything, is curious, serious, and a climber. One word to describe him would be Content. Content with the world he is living in.

Yeah! 1 year old! I'm always amazed how fast it seems to have passed when I look back. What's it like having 3? How about 5? :) I think it's funny when people give me the "ARE YOU CRAZY" look when I tell them this is #5 for me. It's not like it's 10 kids.
Your kids look great, getting so big!!
