Week in Review

Our week was full of fun and laughter. Lucas had his last day of Pre-k school on Wednesday. On his last day of school we met up with some moms from our ward at the waterpark.

Thursday I had to get a pedicure because I had to wear cute sandals to the firm dinner on Friday night at the Getty Museum. Getting a pedicure is usually relaxing but not necessarily when you take 3 kids. I know what you're all thinking - "No Way! You did NOT take your kids with?!" All I can say is I was desperate. My feet needed to look cute in my new sandals and Jon didn't have time to watch the kids. And the babysitter is across town not really available or really worth the trouble of getting her to come over. So I took them and it was hilarious to say the least. I brought the portable DVD player to help entertain them. It kind of worked. After that we went to a playgroup at a members house. She had a kiddie pool that Lucas enjoyed while Micah slept in the stroller. We then met up with Jon at the mall by his work for dinner. He was waiting for more work, but had a break around 6ish to enjoy dinner with us. And then he went back to work.

On Friday we started off the day with hanging out at home. I cleaned while the boys played. At 11:30 a.m. we left to the beach to meet up with some friends. I finally am getting brave enough to drive on the freeways here. I know... I'm a wuss when it comes to driving. The beach was fun and hot. We enjoyed the water. Micah finally got too tired and was upset that I didn't have the stroller so I laid him down on the towel and he fell asleep within a minute. Thankfully my friend had her stroller so I was able to put Micah in that when we left. We left the beach and got home at 3:30. I got all 3 kids bathed, dressed, fed, and then had to get myself ready for dinner. We left the house at 5:30. It was a busy day. Friday night was fun. At these dinners they never seat the spouses next to each other. Usually across the table. I actually sat next to Jon's boss. To say the least we had lots of laughs. Jon's boss also told me that Jon can have Saturday mornings off from 6-9 so that I can take surf lessons. Awesome! Too bad that is usually when I am feeding David or sleeping since I don't sleep at night. Maybe someday:) After the dinner we went out with the singles crowd. Wow! I can't really say much (just in case they are reading this), but I actually feel young again. Sometimes having 3 kids makes me feel a little old. But last night Jon and I were able to enjoy being happily married with 3 kids yet at the same time enjoy the laughs of our friends from the firm. Good times were had by all. Of course, we got home at 1 and had to wake-up at 6 tending to kids so reality set in quickly. But it was all worth it.

Last day of school.

Waterpark pictures. Crazy fun kids!!

The beach. Lucas playing with his friend. Micah sleeping.

David in his crib. The happiest baby on earth. Seriously, he is pure joy:)

My cute toenails. I love my feet. I think they're cute. Me like the tan lines too:) hehe.

Wow Jon, what will you do with all the free time on Saturdays from 6am-9am?

Deanna, I gave myself a pedicure last night for the first time ever and actually loved it. I even painted my toenails. I think I may be addicted, although my feet aren't nearly as cute as yours.

Sounds like a fun weekend, minus going on a date sans husband. We don't date nearly enough to want to eat dinner sitting by other people, but it seems like you guys had fun. The only pedicure I've ever had was when I went with you and it hurt! Your feet are very cute:) and so are your kids:) (stinkin' cute pic of David in the crib!) miss you!!

So we finally got our internet hooked up and I thought you guys would have several posts since I haven't been online in over 3 weeks...but I guess I was the last one to post. I'm guessing you guys are either A. out of town(the reunion?) or B. Jon is working insane hours and you are holding on for dear life(or giving up, but one finger is stuck in the car door that is zooming down the freeway of big law life and you are outside the car dragging on the ground and-oops! was that just a leg that got cut off by an oncoming semi?) I hope that it's "A". I really am missing you guys lately and you better answer your phone when I call!!
