Aquarium of the Pacific

Jon was able to take last Friday and Monday off of work. So we were in vacation mode. On Friday we took the kids to the Aquarium which is located in Long Beach. I haven't been to lots of aquariums in my life so I don't have much to compare too. But I did see the pictures our friends (Brad & Nancy on our sidebar) took from their trip to the Georgia Aquarium and that one seems much cooler. We still had lots of fun at this one though.
The boys were able to touch small sharks. The rule was that you could only use two fingers to touch them. Lucas obviously got that concept, but Micah would always put his two fingers in the water and then when a shark came close he would use his whole hand. One time he actually grabbed the midsection of the shark. The shark went a little crazy and quickly swam away. Micah jumped back. He was startled and so was I! Here are some pictures of the fun.
Micah with is whole hand stretched out just trying to grab it.

Look how excited Lucas is. It is fun to see his excitement to learn.

Looks like alot of fun! You are good to take a picture of David, too. I find that I forget to take pictures of whoever the baby is at the time that is hanging out in their stroller or carseat, so years down the road I won't be able to prove that they were, indeed, included in our fun outings.

That is a cute face on Lucas as you can tell he is so excited!

The Georgia Aquarium is pretty cool. I touched a shark there too but I used just 1 finger, it was pretty freaky--I can't even stand to touch raw chicken. I love the look on Lucas' face, so cute!

Yay for aquariums! I have heard the Aquarium of the Pacific is actually pretty rad. I think the georgia aquarium was built to be the be-all and end-all of aquariums, but why go all the way to Georgia when you can touch sharks just a few miles away in Long Beach? I'm actually planning on visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific soon, so I'm really glad you liked it.

So, have you seen David Archuleta recently?
